Our story:

A Little Chef gets a big makeover

103 Kidderminster Road South has changed quite a bit over the years. The Little Chef closed down in 2012 and the site was just sitting empty. We just needed to fix it up, figure out our offering, and fill it with people! Easy, right?

Family-owned and operated

The whole family pitched in, and after a ton of planning, remodelling, and resourcing (and perhaps a bit of arguing), Fig & Favour opened in the December of 2013! We started small, with a little seating area and a lighter menu. We then introduced a retail section selling foodstuffs and added a vast cheese and deli counter. But then we noticed something interesting…

A meeting place

We realised that customers weren’t coming to Fig & Favour to shop, but to meet up with friends and family. Whether it was for a coffee and a chat before work, a long-overdue lunch date, or Sunday brunch, Fig & Favour was a place for people to come together. This became our business model and has been ever since.

We gradually reduced the retail section and increased our seating capacity. We expanded our patio and reconfigured the car park to accommodate more vehicles. Just last spring, we added a new sunroom and veranda to maximize our outdoor seating. Our goal is to create a space for everyone.

Bringing you our best

The café itself isn't the only thing that’s evolved over the years. Inspired by our travels, we’ve introduced various winning items to our menu, including our fabulous wood-fired pizzas and flatbreads. We have a fantastic team of chefs who are passionate about producing beautiful, flavoursome homemade food, and we work with local suppliers to bring you the very best ingredients and a wide variety of options.

Our front-of-house team of baristas, till operators, and waitstaff are here to offer you a warm welcome and friendly service with a smile. So come on in, we can’t wait to have you.
